Heather is currently participating in the English National Opera's Opera Works course and will be performing in their showcase in the Bloomsbury Theatre on May 13th 2015. She will also be performing the role of Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme in summer 2015 with Opera 24, performing in London's Grimeborn Festival, as well as other venues.

Heather grew up in Surrey, attending Reigate Grammar School.  She achieved her grade 8 at age 14 and the same year, began singing as a choral scholar at Ss. Peter and Paul, Nutfield, Surrey. Throughout her teens she was a member of the Surrey Youth Choir, with whom she sang in the finals of the BBC Choir of the Year award and in St Peter’s in the Vatican, and later the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, with whom she toured Europe, recorded several CDs and sang in such venues as the Royal Albert Hall and the Houses of Parliament.  

In 2006 she achieved her ATCL recital diploma and went on to study music at the University of Nottingham with a semester abroad at the University of Auckland, graduating in 2009 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in music. She was awarded the Bernard Slee Opera Award by Nottingham in her final year.

Since graduating, Heather has sung on both the opera and concert platforms and is an accomplished singer of both arias and songs. As well as classical repertoire, Heather enjoys challenging and contemporary works, singing the soprano solos in the world première of Ian Assersohn’s Song of Songs. Recent operatic roles include Suor Angelica (Puccini, Suor Angelica) Co-Opera Co., Mimi (Puccini, La Boheme) Kennet Opera and Dido (Purcell, Dido & Aeneas) Opera Alumnus.  Heather is proud to have won third prize in the AESS Patricia Routledge National English Song Competition 2014.

Heather currently sings with mezzo-soprano Elspeth Marrow in the classical duo Opera Bellas. They busk frequently at Covent Garden, have performed at such venues as the Dorchester Hotel and the Roehampton Club, London and produced two CDs: Opera Bellas: The First Noel and Opera Bellas: English Roses. Heather also sings professionally with the choir of Ss. Peter and Paul, Nutfield, Surrey. Heather is currently studying with Anthony Roden; previous teachers include Nicholas Powell, Veronica Veysey-Campbell, Robert Wiremu (NZ) and Charles Thompson. Heather will be studying on the English National Opera's Opera Works programme in 2014-2015. 

As well as singing, Heather studies languages, currently speaking Italian at an intermediate level and continuing her studies in German, French and Russian. She is also a qualified Mountain Leader, volunteering with the training of Gold Duke of Edinburgh participants.
